GUIDE TO APPLYING FOR THE KWASU PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING FOR 2023/2024

This is to invite all UTME/DE candidates in the under-listed categories for the 2023/2024 Pre-Admission Screening Registration into Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU) Ilorin.

KWASU Admission Requirements and Eligibility

1. Those whose choice of institution (First or Second) is Kwara State University, Malete; and
2. Those interested in Admission into Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU) but have not made the university the choice.
3. Candidates must have scored a cut-off mark of 160 and above in UTME. Note that the higher your score, the better your admission chance for more competitive courses.
4. Note that, the university will require you to change them to the first choice before you will be able to take part in their physical and credentials screening
5. All candidates must have 5 SSCE credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates awaiting O’level results can also apply but they will not be considered for admission until their results are available.

KWASU Post UTME/DE Method of Application and Payment

Candidates are required to pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only. Also, the online transaction charge of N300.

1. All payments are made with an ATM card.
2. KWASU is not responsible for any wrong payment.
3. Ensure you read the instructions very well before proceeding to payment.

To apply for KWASU Post-UTME, follow the steps below

1. Visit their admission application portal https://portal.kwasu.edu.ng/app_form.php
2. Complete the registration form by providing the required information as indicated and click on Create an Account to register.
3. Once you create an account or register with Kwara State University, you will be automatically logged in. The system will automatically send SMS and an email notification to your email and phone number to communicate your application details and login credentials.
4. Your username is the email address you entered at the point of registration and your surname (last name) is your password. When you have completed the registration, a unique application number would be assigned to you.
5. The application number should be used as the username while the applicant’s surname (last name) is maintained as the password which can be changed to a stronger one later by you.

KWASU UTME/DE Admission Modality

1. Admission into Kwara State University is based on merit. Applicants are expected to possess minimum O’level, UTME, POST-UTME, or other entry requirements.
2. Applicants seeking admission into KWASU regular-based programmes and KWASU other programmes are to ensure that all information entered about them is true and correct to the best of their knowledge.
3. Applicants seeking admission into KWASU's other programmes must first visit www.kwasu.edu.ng for stipulated entry requirements, and then follow the instructions to proceed with an online application.

Needed Documents and Information for Online Registration

Keep ready with you the following details/documents/Information, before starting to fill up the online application.

1. Valid and active Email ID
2. Personal details
3. Educational qualification details
4. Image of scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB
5. Image of scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB
6. Image of scanned certificates in jpg/jpeg, pdf format, and size should not exceed 50 kB

After the Online Registration, What Next?

1. Frequently check the portal for updates on the commencement of physical screening which is usually held at the University's Mini Convocation arena from 9:00am-4:00pm daily.
2. It should be noted that all applicants are expected to report at the venue of the screening exercise with the following items:

1. Candidate JAMB print-out indicating KWASU as the 1st Choice institution.
2. O'Level, GCE WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results for UTME candidates 
3. A' Level IJMB/A'Level JUPEB/OND/NCE results for DE candidates  
4. Print out of KWASU Pre-admission screening form
5. O'level GCE, WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Unscratched cards i.e New Result checker
6. Citizenship certificates
