Federal, State, Private Universities That Offer Home Economics in Nigeria

One of the courses available to you when choosing your discipline during the JAMB UTME/DE registration is Home Economics. This is, by some universities, called Home Economics and Education, Home Economics & Food Management, or Home Economics & Hotel Management Education. 

You can seek admission for this course to any of the universities covered in this post. You can also check the list of polytechnics offering the same.

For clarification, Home Economics is not the same as Home Science. While the terms "Home Economics" and "Home Science" are related, they are not the same.

Home Economics is a field of study that focuses on the management of the home, including areas such as cooking, sewing, and child care. It includes both practical skills and theoretical knowledge in topics such as nutrition, textiles, and consumer economics.

Home Science, on the other hand, is a branch of science that focuses on the study of various aspects of home life, including the physical, biological, and social sciences. It may include areas such as nutrition, child development, interior design, and family relations.

So while there may be some overlap between the two fields, Home Economics tends to focus more on the practical skills related to managing a home, while Home Science has a more scientific approach to understanding the various aspects of home life.
