UI Post UTME/DE (2024/2025): Cut Off Mark, Price, Closing Date

The University of Ibadan invites prospective candidates to register for the post-UTME/Direct Entry screening for the 2024/2025 academic session. The registration portal will be open from Monday, 29 July 2024, to Saturday, 31 August 2024. Please note, there will be no extension to this registration period.

UI Post-UTME Admission Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Candidates must score 200 or above in UTME with four required subjects for his or her proposed course.
  2. Candidates who will not be sixteen (16) years of age at the time of picking up the admission, would not be cleared for admission until the following session.
  3. Candidates also seeking admission to the programs at the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy must possess five (5) credits at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects. 
  4. For other programs, candidates presenting two O/level results must have at least six (6) credits in relevant subjects. 
  5. Kindly note that the University of Ibadan does not accept IJMB and JUPEP but only WAEC, NECO, and ICGS as well as Cambridge Advance Level, NCE, NRN, OND, HND, and Degree certificates from recognized Institutions for Direct Entry admission. 
  6. In addition, candidates are advised to check the list of matriculating subjects accepted by the university (Click here to view Matriculating Subjects). Candidates can also view the UTME combination and O/level requirements for their courses of choice.
  7. Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.

Payment Instructions for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates

Candidates should log in to the Admission Portal (admissions.ui.edu.ng) using their JAMB Registration Number as their username and their surname as the initial password (e.g., JAMB No: 202412345678EG, Password: OYESANMI).

Fees:

  • Portal Access Fee: ₦3,000.00
  • Screening Fee: ₦2,000.00

Payment Options:

  • Card Payment: Using any credit/debit card.
  • Bank Transfer: Direct debit from your bank account.
  • Bank Branch: Cash payment using the print-out from the portal.

NOTE: Candidates should print the payment success receipt after completing the payment.

To apply:

  1. Log in to the Admission Portal (admissions.ui.edu.ng) using your JAMB Registration Number as the username and your surname as the initial password.
  2. Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000.00 through the ADMISSION PORTAL in favor of the University of Ibadan.
  3. Ensure your Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number, and Email address are quoted correctly at the point of payment.

Post-UTME Examination Date

The post-UTME examination will take place from Monday, 16 September 2024. Each candidate’s specific examination date will be communicated in due course. Ensure you provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers, as the university will not be responsible for missed information due to invalid contact details.
