UI Post UTME/DE (2023/2024): Cut Off Mark, Price, Closing Date

POST UTME SCREENING OF PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR THE 2023/2024 ADMISSION EXERCISE

This is to notify prospective candidates that the University of Ibadan’s admission portal will be opened for post-UTME Registration from Monday, 23 October 2023 to Friday, 17 November 2023. Candidates should also note that there may be no extension of the registration period. The examination date for each candidate will be communicated in due course.

UI Post-UTME Admission Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Candidates must score 200 or above in UTME with four required subjects for his or her proposed course.
  2. Candidates who will not be sixteen (16) years of age at the time of picking up the admission, would not be cleared for admission until the following session.
  3. Candidates also seeking admission to the programs at the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy must possess five (5) credits at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects. 
  4. For other programs, candidates presenting two O/level results must have at least six (6) credits in relevant subjects. 
  5. Kindly note that the University of Ibadan does not accept IJMB and JUPEP but only WAEC, NECO, and ICGS as well as Cambridge Advance Level, NCE, NRN, OND, HND, and Degree certificates from recognized Institutions for Direct Entry admission. 
  6. In addition, candidates are advised to check the list of matriculating subjects accepted by the university (Click here to view Matriculating Subjects). Candidates can also view the UTME combination and O/level requirements for their courses of choice.
  7. Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.

UI Post UTME Method of Application and Payment

  1. Candidates are advised to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers. The University will not take responsibility for failure to get information as a result of invalid email addresses and non-functional phone numbers.
  2. Candidates are required to log in to the Admission Portal (admissions.ui.edu.ng) using their Jamb Registration Number as their username and their surname as their password e.g. 202331992341EG OYEKANMI (Surname) Chibuzor Umar. 
  3. A screening fee of N2,000.00 should be paid through the ADMISSION PORTAL in favor of the University of Ibadan (Admission Processing Fee Account). 
  4. The candidate’s Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number, and E-mail address should be quoted at the point of payment.

Payment Options:

  1. Credit/Debit Card Payment using an ATM card
  2. Cash at the bank using the print-out from the portal to make payment at the bank
  3. Direct bank account debit whereby you use your Internet banking tools to make payments.


Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt which should display the full name of the candidate (SURNAME first) as in the UTME result slip preceded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee and the payment reference number showing the success message.

  1. Upon successful payment, candidates should proceed on the portal to submit their bio-data and O/level results.
  2. Candidates should ensure that the online forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.
  3. Please fill out the online forms in CAPITAL letters only.
  4. Candidates are then to print out evidence of completion of the transaction and keep it for further reference.
  5. No need and space to upload a passport photo or O'level result as these two items and a few other details would be collected from JAMB. However, DE applicants may be required to fill in all these details.
  6. An online help desk platform on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng/helpdesk will be available to handle all genuine inquiries.
