All Federal Universities in Nigeria and Locations

As already known, Federal universities are in high demand by admission seekers in Nigeria. However, not all Federal universities are known to prospective candidates. In fact, some may sound federal but they are not. Likewise, some may not have the word "federal" in their instituted name. Yet, they're federal-owned.

To help out of this confusion and navigate the search conveniently, I've sought this list directly from the official JAMB brochure, being the go-to document, for such findings.

Below is the list of all degree-awarding Federal institutions as approved and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Applicants can choose any of these in JAMB UTME/DE or while changing their institutions.

While some can be considered as the second choice (e.g. NDA), a majority can only be taken as the first and most preferred.
