Problems with Buying or Registering FUTA Post UTME and Solutions

July 30, 2018

ANSWERS TO ASPIRANTS CONCERN ABOUT INABILITY TO BUY FUTA POST UTME FORM AT BANK

With my years of experience in online registration for Federal University of Technology, Akure degree courses aspirants, there seems to be only one issue. The issue is inability of bank to sell post UTME form to FUTA applicant.

This post will address this issue and relief your concern.

Generally speaking, FUTA uses E-tranzact platform to sell their Post UTME form via all commercial banks in Nigeria. So when you want to register for their screening, you go to any nearby bank and ask for FUTA post UTME form. You will do such a bank some favor if you can remind them you’re buying it through E-TRANZACT platform. That will help the attendant to know where to go without delay.

However, many applicants will not be able to buy the form because the bank will claim they can’t find their JAMB registration number on the platform.

Let me tell you what actually happens here.

You did JAMB change of course or institution to FUTA
If you’d previously changed your course or institution on JAMB portal and considered FUTA, you may likely face this issue. But it’s nothing to panic about.

Of course, your changes had been effected on JAMB portal but the body will take some days before sending the new list to the school for the school's ICT to upload to E-tranzact platform.

In other words, FUTA has earlier collected first list from JAMB. Those candidates had been uploaded to E-tranzact so they could buy their forms. Since you just changed, bank won’t find your number there yet. You will have to wait for JAMB to send the second list to the school and ICT does their own part.

If you want to know how sure JAMB will forward the list, I will tell you VERY SURE – at least before sales of the Post UTME form ends.

So what do you do?

Give your bank some times. Wait till the last week of the registration and return to your banker. By now your number must have been updated.

I hope this post is a relief to somebody. If you need further clarification, drop your question in the comment section below.

Do another person a favor, kindly share this post with Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter icons below.

FUOYE Post UTME Issues on O'level Requirements, Change of Course, Aggregate Score and Solutions

July 30, 2018

ANSWERS TO SOME DISTURBING ISSUES ON FUOYE POST UTME SCREENING

Are you one of those Degree applicants of Federal University Oye Ekiti who are having issues with departmental cut off mark being released by the management? Are you considering changing your course on the school portal or JAMB portal? Are you concerned about what next after making changes?

Is your own issue about the wrong SSCE subjects being requested for your proposed course? Then you need to read this quick answer to ongoing FUOYE post UTME challenges.

FUOYE CHANGE OF COURSE VS JAMB CHANGE OF COURSE

Ok. If you have checked the cut off marks released by the school and you think of changing to another course, you have two options.

The School Change of Course Option
The school has opened the option for applicants to change their courses directly on the school portal. In this case, you will be required to pay additional N2500 for this service.

This is how it goes.
  1. You log into your portal, then make payment of N2000 for the school screening.
  2. On the next page, you’re warned that you have a less mark than required of your proposed course. Then you are presented with several other courses you can consider instead. These new courses will be right for your score.
  3. You choose one and click “Apply”
  4. On the next page, you’re asked to pay N2500 for the change.
  5. Then you can complete your registration for the new course

UPDATE
The school seems to have discontinued changing course on the school portal. But if this ever starts again, follow the guide above.

JAMB Change of Course Option
Some students had changed their course directly from JAMB portal – paying N2500 for the service. In this case, you don’t have to still pay for the school change of course.

Wait for JAMB to forward your new course to the school and school to update their database for your new choice.

You will know when your course changes at the log in stage. Then you can continue and complete your post UTME screening registration.

SYSTEM REQUESTING FOR WRONG SSCE SUBJECTS

Some applicants are frustrated with FUOYE's portal asking you to pick wrong O’level subjects for your proposed course. In this case, the subjects are not the ones you sat for in your SSCE.

So what now?

Ok.

The ICT centre is seriously working on this. It’s a mere technical itch.

If you check your portal by now, you may notice that they had already removed all the wrong subjects being asked for. They will soon update your page with the right ones. Then you can complete your registration.

Keep checking back.

Don’t forget FUOYE post UTME screening will not close until August 31. Then, there is no need to worry.

Patience please.

PRINT OUT NOT DISPLAYING AGGREGATE SCORE

Some of you who had taken part in the FUOYE online screening registration (in the recent years) must have known that after completion of your form, your print out will show your point (score) per O’level subjects and a final aggregate score. It’s based on this aggregate score that, you’ll be offered admission.

But this time, the calculated score is not showing. You only had your SSCE subject point (score per subject).

Now what?

Relax. The school will later ask you to reprint your acknowledgement slip. Then you can have your aggregate score.

I think I’ve done some justice to these disturbing issues. If you have more question, drop it in the comment section below.

You must have some contacts this post will help, share it with them using whatsapp, facebook etc icons below.
