POST-UTME SCREENING FOR NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES

NOTE
Yearly, the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa sells different academic programs forms. Now, let's proceed with post UTME or ND full time details.

Candidates that have chosen the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa in the UTME and scored the approved minimum cut-off points in the appropriate subjects combination are eligible for post-UTME Screening are hereby invited to apply for this year admission.

Eligibility for Post UTME Application 

  1. Candidates who wrote UTME and scores not less than 150 with relevant subject combination for their proposed courses.
  2. Candidates must have chosen Federal Polytechnic Nasarwa Lafia as their first choice school in UTME or should be ready to effect the change immediately through JAMB change of institutions.
  3. Candidates must also have at least 5 credit passes in their SSCE results i.e WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB with subjects relevant to their desired course.

Method of Application

  • Application forms are obtainable on successful payments on the Remita platform. Applicants may use their debit cards (Interswitch, Verve, Mastercard etc) or make cash payments at the bank to get an RRR-code to be used on the platform. A non-refundable fee is ND (Post UTME) 2,500
  • Applicants are to use their own phone numbers as this will be the official communication channel. No complains will be entertained for wrong phone numbers.
  • ONLY RRR(Remita Retrieval Reference) code generated from this platform is valid. PRINT out your INVOICE before proceeding to make payment at the bank.
  • The deadline for submission of applications is six (6) weeks from the date of publication.

Step by Step Guide to Apply

Visit the admission portal or click http://oaa.flexisaf.com:8080/fedpolynas/ and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Select “New application”
Step 2: Fill in the applicant’s information
Step 3
  • Click the “Verify Phone Number” button after filling the applicants details
  • A verification code would be sent to the phone number you entered in the form.
  • Enter the verification code sent to you in the space provided.
Step 4
  • Click “Verify” button.
  • If the verification code was not sent to your phone number, click “Did not receive code” button to try again.
  • If verification code is correct, a successful page is displayed. Click the “OK” button.
Step 5: Enter your phone number as Username and Password.
Step 6: Click Login.
Step 7:
  • A welcome page opens. Click on the drop down to select your application typeEnter your Email address in the space provided, select your method of payment (Verve, MasterCard, etc.), and check the information verification box. Then click “I accept” to proceed.
  • Enter your card details in the space provided. Then click “ok” to proceed for payment.
  • Fill in your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) into the space provided and then click the “Verify” button to continue with the application.
  • Enter your Email address in the space provided, select your method of payment (bank branch), and check the information verification box. Then click “I accept” to proceed.
  • Click on print invoice, go to the bank and make your payment 
  • Fill in your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) into the space provided and then click the “Verify” button to continue with the application.
Step 8: After the Remita verification, a form appears for you to fill in your data
Step 9: If you cannot complete your details immediately, you can save your current progress by clicking the “Save & Continue Later” button. But once you are done with filling in your details click the “Submit Application” button.
Step 10: Upon successful submission, you will see (as in the image on the right) a summary of your information, a button to print and your admission status.

Application for screening and validation of credentials is hereby requested from interested candidates who wrote the 2018/2019  UTME and made Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro their 1st Choice or are willing to change to Ilaro as their 1st Choice Institution.

ILARO POLY POST-UTME ELIGIBILITY

  1. Candidates who chose the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro as their 1st choice and whose score is not below 150 in the 2018 UTME.
  2. Candidates who did not choose the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro but are ready and able to effect change of Institution to make Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro their First Choice Institution.
  3. Candidates with  at least five (5) credit passes in their SSCE results (NECO, WAEC, GCE or NABTEB); in relevant subjects for their proposed courses.
  4. Candidates are expected to complete the Screening Form online following the procedure in below:

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ILARO POLY POST UTME

  1. Candidates seeking admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are required to complete the Institution’s Form available online at:  www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng  or www.federalpolytechnicilaro.net  with immediate effect. 
  2. Candidates seeking admission for ND (Full Time) are expected to generate a Screening Form Invoice by filling in their details online on the Institution’s website:  www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng or www.federalpolytechnicilaro.net 
  3. Each candidate is expected to pay a sum of Two Thousand Naira only (N2,000.00) as screening fee.
  4. The authorized banks for this exercise are: United Bank For Africa (UBA) Plc, WEMA Bank Plc, SKYE Bank Plc, UNION Bank Plc, Ilaro Poly Micro-Finance Bank, Access Bank Plc, Ekuombe Micro Finance Bank, Zenith Bank Plc

Step By Step Application Instructions to Candidates

  1. Log on to www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng
  2. Click on "College Portal " on the main menu
  3. Scroll down to "New Application"
  4. Click on the "Generate Invoice" button
  5. To generate your invoice fill in your Name and other details (as you have them on your credentials) and select your programme and Course of study.
  6. Proceed to the bank with the invoice generated.  Pay at the bank and  obtain RRR NUMBER 
  7. Return to the portal, repeat steps 1-3 above and click on the "Fill Application form" button
  8. Enter the RRR NUMBER obtained from the bank
  9. Complete the application form.
  10. Scan and upload the following :
  • a colour passport-size photograph of not more than 50kb in the space provided on the online form.
  • UTME notification of result slip
  • O’level Result(s) for candidates who are not awaiting their result.
  • All awaiting result candidates should indicate their year of Examination and Registration Number and put (AR) in the columns provided for this purpose. They should however upload their result when available.
Confirm and submit. Print a copy of the Acknowledgement Slip

NOTE
  1. All candidates are expected to upload clear and readable copies of their credentials.  Candidates whose uploaded credentials are not easily readable would forfeit their admission
  2. The invoice and RRR must be obtained in the name of the applicant; the invoice must be generated from the Portal. The Invoice contains the RRR to be processed. The institution shall not be liable for complications that may arise when RRR is generated and payment is processed without going through the Portal.
  3. Awaiting Result Candidates are allowed to submit their credentials whenever they get it. Also, obtaining screening form is a continuous exercise. 
  4. All candidates are expected to supply personal phone numbers and e-mail addresses on their forms. However notification of admission shall be via the institution’s website.

Candidates are required to visit www.delsuonline.com. to generate a virtual PIN with N20,000 (twenty thousand naira only). Evidence of payment (Bank tellers) for Centre Screening (the cost covers honoraria for centre facilitation, logistics for producing screening materials and security). Payment should be made to any of the following banks.

  • Fidelity Bank
Ensure that names are correctly entered. Errors will not be entertained.

ADMISSION INTO A ONE-YEAR JUPEB (FOUNDATION) PROGRAMME - 2018/2019 ACADEMIC SESSION

In collaboration with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB), the Delta State University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the school of Foundation Studies for the 2018/2019 session.  Highly successful candidates after an approved examination administered by JUPEB are eligible for consideration into 200 level of the Degree programme of the University through JAMB.

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the JUPEB Foundation Programmes must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in at least five (5) “O” Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in  GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB). However, for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing and Pharmacy the 5 O’ level credit must be at one sitting.

All the combinations shown in the table meet the entry requirements for direct admission into Degree Programmes in the Delta State University and other JUPEB affiliate Universities which include, OAU, UNILAG, UNN, UYO, FUTA, FUNAAB, UNIPORT, FUPRE, UNICAL, LASU, FUTO, UNILORIN ,UNIBEN, NDU, ESUT, ABUAD etc.

Duration of Programme

The duration of study is a minimum of one Academic Session of Two Semesters.  Successful candidates are to be accommodated in the University Halls of residence in Site II, Abraka.

After reading the piece below, you should understand in detail - the requirements to become a member of NIMN, the guidelines to different activities and the body's syllabus.

NIMN EXAMINATION STRUCTURE AND EXEMPTIONS

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE IN MARKETING

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Holders of OND and 300Level students in Marketing, Business
  2. Administration/Studies and Mass Communications.
  3. Final year students (BSc and HND) in other Social Science disciplines.

COURSES

Upon successful completion of the Professional Certificate in Marketing, the candidate would qualify to proceed to the Chartered Graduate Diploma in Marketing. He/She is entitled to be inducted as a Licentiate member of NIMN, thus, has opportunity to use the designatory letters: LNIMN

CHARTERED GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MARKETING

NIMN: HOW TO APPLY FOR "EXEMPTIONS"

Candidates applying for exemption should obtain and complete the Exemption form and return same to the Secretariat with the appropriate exemption fee(s). Candidates will be notified of the exemption(s) which they have been granted.

NIMN DATE OF EXAMINATION AND EXAMINATION ENTRY

The Examination of the Institute is held twice each year in June and December. All Examination entry forms must reach the National Secretariat with bank draft or tellers for the appropriate fees on or before the final day of close of entry.

No candidate may enter for any of the Institute's examinations unless he has been registered as a student of the Institute and has paid appropriate examination fees in force at the time of the examination and is not in arrears of annual subscription.

NIMN DEFERMENT OF EXAMINATION AND EXAMINATION RESULTS

Upon registration as a candidate for examination, payments so made are not refundable. However, a concession may be given for deferment of the examination if there is a written notice to this effect and supported with cogent reasons by the candidate which must be received at the secretariat not later than three weeks before the commencement of the examination. An Administrative fee of 25% of the examination payment shall however, be deducted to cover administrative expenses.

The Examination’s results will be published in a national Newspaper and a list of successful candidates will also be displayed on the notice.

  1. Foundation Scheme: Holders of OND in Marketing, Purchasing and Supply and Mass Communications or Business Administration. And other related fields.

    LIST OF NIMN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES

    The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria operates three regular scheme of educational development arising from the harmonization of the Syllabi of the two defunct marketing bodies.

    These are:
    1. Foundation Certificate in Marketing stage
    2. Intermediate Stage.(Graduate Diploma in Marketing)
    3. Professional Stage. (Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing)

    ENROLLMENT FOR NIMN EXAMINATIONS PROCEDURES
    Members of the Publics interested in taking examinations for the certificate, intermediate and
    professional final schemes must satisfy criteria laid down by the council for enrolment to take
    examinations.

    The Institute's Professional examination structure has been reviewed to be in line with
    development in marketing profession and the challenges of the millennium.

    The Institute's examination is written twice in a year June and December in designated centers throughout the country. Registration for examination closes on the dates stated below:

    For June Exam:
    • Registration as a student closes on the last working day of March of exam year
    • Registration for Examination closes on the last working day of April of exam year
     
    For December Exam:
    • Registration as a student closes on the last working day of September of exam year
    • Registration for Examination closes on the last working day of October of exam year

    NIMN EXAMS ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

    FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE STAGE
    Five credits in GCE (O/L)/SSCE, NECO. These Credits must include English Language, Mathematics at not more than two sittings.

    PROFESSIONAL FINAL SCHEME
    Completion of the Certificate scheme of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria and graduates with first degree in Marketing and business administration. Other professional qualifications in Sales and marketing, distribution, advertising and public relations would be exempted from the certificate scheme of the institute.

    POST GRADUATE QUALIFICATION ADMISSION SCHEME
    Candidates with MSc and MBA in marketing would be exempted in PFS I and would be required to
    take the PFS II Subject for subject exemption: would be granted to graduate and postgraduate students in field other than marketing as well as other professional qualifications in unrelated fields to marketing.

    1. What is NIMN?

    National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) is the body for professionals engaged in marketing and related fields as marketing practitioners, sales and marketing directors, customers’ managers, relationship directors, media planners, channel developers, creative directors, value builders, brand builders, enterprise builders, corporate and institutional governors, transformers, marketing and mass communication experts, general managers and chief executive officers.

    2. Do I need NIMN membership or registration for marketing career at all?

    Not really. However, best for you if you want more with your career as stated below:
    1. To be legal marketers, a person must be admitted and registered as a member in the category of Fellows, Full Members, Associates, Graduates and Students.
    2. Such registered members shall be entitled to use after their names FNIMN, MNIMN and ANIMN as the case may be.

    3. What grades of membership are available at NIMN?

    There are seven grades of membership of the Institute of Distributive Management. These are:

    CORPORATE MEMBER
    Corporate membership of the Institute is open to any company, which produces and/or markets goods and services in Nigeria.

    FELLOW
    Fellowship of the Institute is conferred on individual, indigene or expatriate who meet the criteria set by the council of the Institute.

    Fellowship of the Institute is conferred on individual, indigene or expatriate who meet the criteria set by the council of the Institute. The individual must have completed the professional examinations of the Institute or its equivalent from a recognized Institution locally and or overseas and must have relevant working experience at senior management as marketing practitioners or specialist in Sales and marketing related areas.

    A Fellow membership may also be awarded as honorary to individual who have contributed to the promotion and development of marketing and adjudged to have attained such level in industry, commerce and public administration to be emulated by other members.

    Fellow members of the Institute is expected to assume responsibility for grooming prospective practitioners in the industry directly or indirectly through supervision and other various activities which he may be required to perform by the Institute.

    Conferment of Fellow membership on any individual is the prerogative of the Council of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria.

    FULL MEMBER
    Full membership of the Institute is conferred on an individual who has completed the professional examination of the Institute or its equivalent or an individual who has successfully completed the conversion programme or any other programme of assessment deemed adequate for that purpose by the Council of the Institute.

    In addition, prospective full member of the Institute must have attained the age of twenty-five years of age and possesses a period of not less than five years post qualification experience in marketing or related fields.

    ASSOCIATES
    Associate membership of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria is conferred on an individual who has completed the professional examination of the Institute or its equivalent or any conversion programme of assessment deemed adequate by the Council of the Institute.

    In addition, prospective Associates of the Institute must have attained the age of twenty-one years and possesses a minimum of two years working experience in marketing or related fields.

    GRADUATE
    Graduate membership of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria is awarded to any individual who has successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in marketing stage of the professional examination of the Institute. Graduate of the Institute is expected to upgrade to Associate membership of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria after possessing two years cognate working experience and be conferred chartered member of the institute.

    LICENTIATE
    Holders of NIMN Foundation Certificate in Marketing Holders of OND in Marketing, Business, Administration/Studies and 300 Level students in Marketing, Business Administration/Studies and Mass Communication.

    Upon successful completion of the Professional Certificate in Marketing, the candidate would qualify to proceed to the Chartered Graduate Diploma in Marketing. He is entitled to be inducted as a Licentiate member of NIMN, thus, use the designatory letters NIMN (Licentiate).

    STUDENT MEMBER
    Candidates are admitted as Student members of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria if they meet the specified educational and/or experience hereunder stated.

    For all practical purposes, requirements for admission to student member of the Institute are:
    • Candidates must be at least sixteen years of age.
    • He should possess a minimum of five passes at credit level in the West African
    • Secondary School leaving examinations or the GCE O’levels
    • The five passes must not be more than in two consecutive sittings and must include English Language and Mathematics.
    • Candidates are also expected to demonstrate willingness to attend formal tuition on a full-time or part-time basis in Institution duly approved by the Council of the Institute

    4. What are the professional examinations conducted by NIMN?

    National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria operates the following regular scheme of educational development for students in tertiary institutions who are desirous of becoming professional marketers. These are:

    PROGRAMME  OBJECTIVES

    1. The Programme aims to provide an opportunity for students to learn about substantive Nigerian law and practice, and to gain experience of skill-based tasks necessary for them to make a significant contribution to the workplace organizations they service or will service and the wider community.

    • To equip students with a general foundation of Knowledge in selected areas of legal studies and practice procedures

    • For Estate Management, Credit passes in Mathematics; English Language and three (3) subjects from the following: Physics; Chemistry; Geography; Statistics; Technical Drawing; Basic Surveying; Economics; Biology; Agricultural Science; Art; Woodwork and Metal Work.
    • For Urban and Regional Planning, five (5) Credits passes in not more than two (2) sittings in Mathematics, English Language and one of the following subjects: Geography; Economics; Statistics; Art; and two science subjects from Chemistry; Physics; Technical Drawing; Biology and Agricultural Science.

    HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES (2 YEARS)

    1. All courses advertised at the National Diploma as stated above are available for applicants intending to undertake the Higher National Diploma Programmes.
    2. Note: Aptitude test is not necessary for applicants intending to undertake the Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes.

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND)
    1. Satisfy all the requirements for admission into the ND programmes as stated above.
    2. Possess a National Diploma in relevant course(s) from Delta State School of Marine Technology or from a recognized institution with a CGPA of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit).
    3. A letter of completion of compulsory industrial training from organizations/firms or evidence of one year work experience
    4. In exceptional cases, National Diploma with a Pass (2.00-2.49) in the ND may be accepted. Such candidates would undergo a one year Pre-HND programmes to improve themselves.
    5. All candidates for the Higher National Diploma programmes should request the School they attended in respect of National Diploma to forward their transcripts to DESOMATECH under confidential cover.

    Aptitude test holds on Saturday, 25th August, 2018 at 10.00am in any of the centers indicated in candidate’s application form.

    Auchi Poly HND Admission Requirements

    1. Candidates for any of the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must possess the National Diploma (ND) of the Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification from other similar Institutions whose programmes have earned NBTE Accreditation. Candidates must possess a National Diploma Certificate in the course they intend to pursue at the Higher National Diploma Level.
    2. In addition to specific departmental requirements, candidates must possess Five (5) Ordinary Level credit passes at one sitting or Six (6) Ordinary Level credit passes at two (2) sittings, which must include Mathematics and English Language in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB examination.
    Note:
    • A credit pass in Literature in English at O’level is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into the Department of Mass Communication.
    • A credit pass in Economics at O’level is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into the Department of Accountancy. (Departmental requirements are on the Polytechnic website: www.auchipoly.edu.ng)
    • Also, candidates must have at least one year Post National Diploma (ND) Industrial Experience (IT) or two (2) years Post National Diploma Industrial Experience for candidates with a pass grade at the National Diploma level. Academic transcripts from the candidates’ Institutions (except for graduands of Auchi Polytechnic) must be submitted before the application for the Higher National Diploma admission will be processed. Candidates should note that any student found to be deficient after admission will be withdrawn.


    GUIDELINES FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA ADMISSION:

    1. All candidates seeking admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the Polytechnic must ensure that they were offered admissions through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME during their National Diploma programme(s). 
    2. Any candidate that does not have an Admission Letter and Registration Number from JAMB for the National Diploma programme is ineligible for the Higher National Diploma admission as such persons may not be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme. 
    3. NOTE: If you fall to the category  (2) above, you can consider JAMB regularization registration before obtaining your HND form.
    4. Candidates are to note that these requirements supersede the information contained in the Polytechnic’s Prospectus.

    PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN BUILDING TECHNOLOGY

    1. Candidates must possess a Minimum of a lower credit pass in the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Building Technology obtained from an institution whose programme has earned NBTE accreditation or any equivalent qualification.
    2. Satisfactory completion of NYSC or Evidence of Exemption from the programme.
    3. The duration of full-time course is Eighteen (18) calendar months, i.e., at least three (3) Semesters.

    PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING

    Candidates must possess the Higher National Diploma (HND) and the National Diploma (ND) in Urban and Regional Planning of the Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification from other similar Institutions whose programmes have earned NBTE Accreditation. In addition, Graduates of Geography and Regional Planning with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division Pass are eligible to apply.

    METHOD OF APPLICATION

    Application forms will be completed online via the Polytechnic website: www.auchipoly.edu.ng (All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application and screening fee of Fifteen Thousand (₦15,000.00) Naira only payable through the following Banks nationwide in favour of Auchi Polytechnic Treasury Single Account (TSA) No.1000075, using Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) generated from the Polytechnic Website.
    (1) Eco Bank of Nigeria PLC
    (2) Skye Bank
    (3) United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC

    PROCEDURE FOR USING AUCHI POLYTECHNIC ONLINE APPLICATION ADMISSIONS PLATFORM

    Read and follow the steps below carefully.
    • Open your web browser and type in Auchi Polytechnic URL: www.auchipoly.edu.ng to display the Auchi Polytechnic web page. Select the desired portal (morning, evening or degree).
    • Click on the link. Apply for 2018/2019 Auchi Polytechnic ND, HND OR PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA as it applies to you.
    • The application form request will display.
    • Carefully complete the application form. Ensure that you provide all required information correctly.
    • NOTE: provide a username, (Preferably your phone number) and a password. Write your username and password in a safe place because you will need them for subsequent logins. Then click Generate Remita Retrieval Reference.
    • Take the generated REMITA RETRIEVAL REFERENCE (RRR) to the designated bank and request that your payment be processed on the REMITA platform.
    • You can also make payments on any REMITA approved payment channels. Allow a couple of hours for your payment to be processed before returning to the portal to continue with your application. Login with your username and password.
    • Click on Continue With My Application Form.
    • Complete the application form carefully. Ensure that you provide required information correctly as false information may disqualify your application.
    • Upload your passport photograph as well as the required scanned copies of your credentials.
    • Print a copy of the Acknowledgement slip and two copies of the application form.
    • Print a copy of application summary sheet.Enclose two (2) sets of photocopies of your credentials; e-receipt of remita payment, birth certificate and two (2) recent passport-sized photographs to the forms in an envelope. Then bring the envelope with you to the Polytechnic on the yet to be announced date for a physical screening exercise.

    1. Any payment procedure generated and processed on any other platform for the purpose of admission is invalid. All payment procedures must originate from the www.auchipoly.edu.ng website. The Portal is already integrated with the Remita payment platform.
