NIGERIAN ARMY COLLEGE OF NURSING, YABA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 6 months post qualification experience
2. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 Credits in their O-Level Result (WAEC, NECO, GCE) which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A maximum of two sitting is accepted.
3. Candidates are to appear for interview in their nurses Uniform.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES:

A. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
The criteria for admission into the PGD programme are stated below:
(i) All candidates must have five credit passes including English, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at ‘O’ Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE).
(ii) Candidates with Bachelor’s degree from any NUC approved University must obtain a minimum of 3rd Class degree in the relevant discipline.
(iii) Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved Institutions with a minimum of Lower Credit may also be considered for admission.

B. Master’s Degree Programmes
The criteria for admission into the Master’s Programme (M.Sc.) are as stated bellow:
1. All candidates must have five credit passes including English, Mathematics and three relevant subjects at ‘O’ Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE).
2a. Professional Master’s Degree Programme
(i) Candidates for professional Master’s degree programme must obtain a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in the relevant discipline of Afe Babalola University or equivalent of any other University approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
(ii) Candidates with University degree in Third Class or HND plus a University PGD at credit level pass, (i.e., CGPA of 3.0/5.0) or 50% on weighted percentage average may be considered for admission into professional Master’s degree programmes.
(iii) All candidates must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity and effective decision making and problem solving potentials.
2b. Academic Master’s Degree Programme
(i) Candidates with Bachelor’s degrees from the relevant discipline of Afe Babalola University or equivalent of any other University approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) must obtain a minimum of second class lower division with a CGPA of 2.5/5.0 for an academic programme.
(ii) Candidates with at least a third class degree or HND and University PGD in the relevant discipline of Afe Babalola University or equivalent of any other University approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) with CGPA of 3.0/5.0 may be considered for admission into academic Master’s degree programmes.
C. Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) Programmes
Eligibility: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
i. A Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree of Afe Babalola University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Afe Babalola University with minimum of 60% or a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50.
ii. Any candidate with CGPA less than 3.50 with a minimum of 3.00 shall be admitted to M.Phil. /Ph.D. programme in the first instance, with the opportunity to convert to the Ph.D. programme later.
iii. An M.Phil. Degree in relevant discipline of any University recognized by the Senate of Afe Babalola University, with a minimum of 3.50 CGPA.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE STATED ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMMES, ALL APPLICANTS ARE TO NOTE THAT:
The University Matriculation requirements of individual Departments must be satisfied before a candidate can be considered for admission.
For admission into any of the programmes, possession of NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate issued by the Directorate is compulsory.

Candidates who chose ABUAD in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are to pay the sum of N2, 000 into any of the under-listed banks with Undergraduate Account Number while Postgraduate Application form is also N10, 500 and to be paid into the Postgraduate School Account Number.

 CHANGE OF INSTITUTION ABUAD

1. Candidates who did not choose Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are also qualified to participate in the Post UTME screening of the University purchasing Change of Institution form from JAMB and N2,000 for the Post UTME Form into any of the under-listed banks:.
2. Admission into ABUAD for Non Direct Entry Candidates is subject to successful passing of the UTME Examination and the Post-UTME screening.
3. Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided the result will be available at resumption in August, 2018.

The admission year has begun again. Here is all you must know about the Landmark University Post UTME and admission processes.

About Landmark University

The university is situated at Km 4 Ipetu, Omu-Aran Road, Ipetu Road, Omu-Aran, Kwara State.

The name “Landmark” was inspired from the compelling establishment purpose, which is to advance learning through research by breaking new grounds of knowledge and innovation. Names are significant because individuals and corporate entities answer to their names. They remind not only the bearers but also the corporate operators, leaders and stakeholders of the institutions establishment purpose. From this understanding of purpose, they are able to detect if the University is truly breaking new grounds of knowledge through research or not.

Landmark University General Admission Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for admission into Landmark University are credit passes in 5 subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.

Landmark University Post UTME Eligibility

Candidates applying to Landmark University should note the following:
i) Candidates must have sat for the current year Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the prescribed cut-off marks as a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities.
ii) Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme in Landmark University.
iii) Candidates who did not choose Landmark University in the current year UTME are free to apply for admission into the University
iv) In addition to the above, Landmark University conducts a Post UTME Screening Exercise for all candidates seeking admission into the University.  Applicants may however, not be admitted without fulfilling the demands of the screening exercise.

  1. Visit our Admission application portal via http://admission.lmu.edu.ng/app to complete the application payment form. Fill the application payment form with the required details. Please note that your UTME registration number, a valid email address and GSM number will be required.
  2. On completion and submission of application payment form, a preview of the application will be displayed. Kindly verify the information provided and then proceed to make payment by clicking on the “Pay” button.
  3. You will be redirected to a page where you are expected to make payment of N10, 000. Please note that you will need an ATM Card (Verve, Visa, MasterCard or E-Tranzact Card) to complete your payment and the service charge varies by the card providers.
  4. After successful payment, an SMS containing your login details would be sent to the phone number and email address supplied.
  5. You are expected to return to our Admission Application Portal via http://admission.lmu.edu.ng/app to login with the login passcode, upload your passport (which must be in JPEG format and not more than 200KB in size) and complete your application form. On completion of the application form, kindly submit and print out copies of the completed form.

Postgraduate School Admissions into UNILORIN Postgraduate Programmes in the 2018/2019

The post below details all necessary details you must be aware before you apply for the UNILORIN postgraduate form for 2018. You'll see list of available courses and programmes for this academic year, procedures for the application, exams date and venue, form price and more.

2018/2019 POST GRADUATE SCHOOL ADVERTS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various Postgraduate degree programmes of the University.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

(i) Only Courses available for the session are advertised and as such Candidates are advised to select courses available in this advertisement.
(ii) Candidates are advised to PRINT out the advertisement and STUDY thoroughly before COMMENCING the application procedure.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES OFFERED

1. Ph.D. Degree Programmes

These are available to holders of M.A; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; LL.M; M.Comm.H.; and M.P.H degrees, with a minimum of 60% or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score in their Master degree programmes. A Ph.D. degree programme runs for a minimum period of 36 calendar months and a maximum period of 60 calendar months for full-time candidates OR a minimum period of 48 calendar months and a maximum period of 72 calendar months for part-time candidates. Relevant Courses will be taken for the Ph.D. studies where prescribed and a Thesis is required at the end of the Ph.D. programme.

2. M.Phil /Ph.D. Degree Programmes

Candidates who score between 55.00 and 59.99 percent can apply for admission into the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil/Ph.D.) degree programme. The M.Phil/Ph.D. degree programme is available only to full-time candidates. It runs for a minimum period of 12 calendar months and a maximum period of 24 calendar months and a Dissertation is produced after the research work. Candidates in this category are eligible for conversion to Ph.D. candidature, following a progress assessment report
to be made by a Panel of Examiners at the end of the first session of registration. To be eligible for conversion for the Ph.D. program, candidates are expected to score not less than 60% (aggregate) at the end of the first session.

3. Master Degree Programmes

M.A.; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; M.Com.H., LL.M and M.P.H. degrees run for a minimum period of 18 calendar months and a maximum period of 36 calendar months for full-time candidates OR a minimum period of 36 calendar months and a maximum period of 48 calendar months for part-time candidates. All Master Degree Programmes are by course work. This is in addition to a research report at the end of which a Dissertation is produced.

4. Postgraduate Diploma Degree Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma degrees are available to candidates with a Third class (honours) degree. Applicants are to note that programmes automatically lapse at the expiration of the prescribed maximum duration for each programme. However, a candidate may apply for an extension of not more than 12 months, in the first instance, subject to a maximum of two such extensions.

UNILORIN PG School General information

The Postgraduate session for Postgraduate programmes is 12 calendar months, commencing on 2nd October and ending on 30th September of the following year. The 12 calendar months start to count automatically from the date of first registration.

UNILORIN Postgraduate Courses/Programmes Admission Requirements

General Requirements:

i. All Certificates shall be available at the point of purchasing the application form, including the National Youth Service Corp DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE OR EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE.
ii. Candidates are expected to submit their application forms on line together with the scanned copies of their credentials.
iii. All supporting documents in (i) above and the hard copy of the application form should be forwarded to the Secretary, Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria between Monday, 7th May, 2018 and Tuesday 31st, July, 2018 while the submission of Transcripts of Academic Records should be to the Head of Department where the admission is being sought. The Postgraduate School will not be held liable for any misdirected transcript, please.
iv. All candidates must have 5 O/L Credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
v. Applicants for the Master degree programmes who are graduates of the University of Ilorin and other recognized universities must have a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division) and must be applying for programmes in which they have their first degrees. However, applicants with Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division) and those with higher classes of degrees seeking admissions into programmes outside those in which they have their first degrees
may be admitted, provided they satisfy Senate in a qualifying examination to be conducted. The least class of Degree for all academic programme applicants is Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division). Regardless of the institution where the Bachelor’s degree is obtained. ALL candidates shall apply early for their official Bachelor’s degree transcript to be sent to the Head of Department where the admission is being sought, before the expiration of the stated deadline in B(ii) above.
vi. Applicants for the Ph.D. degree programme shall have obtained a relevant Master degree of this or other recognized University, with an average weighted score of at least 60%. Short-listed candidates would be required to satisfy the Postgraduate School in the qualifying interviews and assessments by the relevant Department. Applicants are therefore advised to interact with the department to which they have applied to ascertain the date of the interview for the Ph.D. degree programme. Regardless of the Institution where the Master degree was obtained.
ALL candidates must apply early for the official copy of their academic transcripts to be sent to the Head of Department where the admission is being sought for the purpose of this admission and before the expiration of the stated deadline.
vii. All Higher Degree candidates that attended foreign Universities, where English language is not the medium of instruction, should submit to the Postgraduate School, evidence of their English Language proficiency, e.g. TOEFL or IELTS scores.
viii. Applicants for the Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters degree Programmes will be subjected to the written assessment (qualifying examination) irrespective of the class of degree obtained, except applicants from the University of Ilorin with a First Class and Second Class, Upper Division (Honours).
ix. International applicants (Applicants who are domiciled outside Nigeria, and non-Nigerian and applying outside the country) shall be exempted from the qualifying examination. However, International applicants applying from outside the country for the Doctor of Philosophy programmes shall be requested to submit a proposal of not more than 5 pages, giving details of what research they intend to carry out. This should be sent electronically to pgschool@unilorin.edu.ng.
x. Applicants applying for any of the Full-time programme of the University should the letter of release from their employers at the point of registration. Programme Specifics

i. Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science shall satisfy one of
the following:

a. a minimum of first degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognised
University: Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences or the Humanities.
b. HND in Computer Science or Engineering from recognized Polytechnics with a
minimum of Lower Credit; and
c. HND in any other discipline different from those in (ii) but preferably from Sciences
or Social Sciences with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized Polytechnic
or equivalent Institution, with at least one year cognate experience.

ii.Applicants for Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics shall satisfy one of the following:
a. A minimum of an honour’s degree from a recognized University in any of Science and Social Science disciplines;
b. HND in Statistics from a recognized Polytechnic with a minimum of Lower Credit.
iii. The M.A. Peace and Security Studies is OPEN ONLY to participant of the Executive
Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) of the Institute of Security Studies, Abuja. 
The M.A. Peace and Strategic Studies is OPEN ONLY to participant in the Executive
Management Course (EMC) of the Nigerian Army School of Education (NASE), Ilorin or any other equivalent programme approved by NASE.
iv. The M.Sc. Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) is OPEN ONLY to

Neil University Admission Requirements

The Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences
  1. UTME: Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects including Economics, Accounting and Government.
  2. Direct Entry: At least Two “A” level credit including Economics NCE or OND with credit passes in relevant subjects.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are Economics, English, Mathematics and any other subject.

Political Science and International Relations
  1. UTME: Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language , Government or History and at least a pass in Maths and any other relevant subjects.
  2. Direct Entry: Not applicable.
  3. Remarks: Three Arts or Social Science Subjects.

English Studies
  1. UTME: Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language and Literature in English.
  2. Direct Entry: At least two A level passes including Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are English, Literature in English, One Arts subject and another one Social Science subject.

Biology
  1. UTME: Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics and Biology and any other science subjects

Chemistry
  1. UTME: Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other two science subjects
  2. Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology in that order. Credit passes in OND.Two “A” level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology in that order. Credit passes in OND.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are English, Chemistry mathematics and any of Physics, Geography Biology.

Computer Science
  1. UTME: Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English & Mathematics and any other 3 subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science in that order.
  2. Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Mathematics and either Physics and/or Chemistry. OND/NCE in Mathematics and another Science Subject.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are Mathematics and any two of Physics Chemistry, Biology, Geography or Economics in order of preference.

The Faculty of Engineering
  1. UTME: Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English & Mathematics and any other 3 subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
  2. Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Mathematics and either Physics and/or Chemistry. OND/NCE in Mathematics and another Science Subject.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are Mathematics and any two of Physics Chemistry, Geography.

Department of Law
  1. UTME: Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language and Literature in English.
  2. Direct Entry: At least two A level passes including Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
  3. Remarks: UME subjects are English, Literature in English, One Arts subject and another one Social Science subject.


Neil University Application Guidelines for Admission
Admissions shall be opened to all, irrespective of Nationality, Sex, Physical ability and Religion provided that the applicant duly completed his/her application form, and with valid information accordindly.

Each candidate should summit following documents to admission office:
  • Completed and Signed Application Form
  • Copy of Official Senior Secondary School Transcript
  • Copy of Official Senior Secondary School Certificate
  • Copies of Official Examination Results
  • Guarantor’s Letter/attestation of Financial Support
  • Medical Report & Immunization records
  • Letter of Recommendation from Secondary School Counsel/Principal
  • 4 Recent Passport Photograph
Note: The University conducts a Screening Exercise prior to the offer of admission which is mandatory for all applicants. Please do carefully read the procedures below for more on Screening and other placement issues.
Admission Procedures

Nigerian Applicants:
Nigerian students seeking admission into the University must take the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination or UTME and obtain the approved cut-off mark for that year. Also the candidates are required to present 5 credits at no more than two sittings. Please refer to your respective faculties for full requirements, other useful information and/or specifications.

Foreign Applicants:
Unlike Nigerian applicants, all foreign applicants must provide their corresponding Examination Results as well as academic transcript of previous high schools.

Transfer & Direct Entry Students:
Direct Entry candidates are those who have completed one of the following: OND, HSE, HND, ‘A’ level GCE, SBS, and IJMB or any other higher qualification. For this method of entry to NTNU, candidates who have 9 points or above will be admitted to 200 Level based on the three subjects taken. Generally, those candidates who have below 9 points will be admitted to commence at 100 Level.

Transfer candidates from national universities are generally given preference except in cases where the candidate is on academic probation. In such cases, the candidate may be admitted to a lower level. For this method of admission, a grade point average of 1.50 CGPA (3rd class) on a 5.0 scale will permit the candidate to transfer and commence from their appropriate level.

Additionally, admission into an undergraduate degree program of the University shall be based on the Faculty and Departmental requirements, visit your respective Faculty for more. Alternatively, you can check Entry Requirements for all programmes offered by NUN.

Detailed Requirements and Guidelines for Bowen University Post UTME and Direct Entry
It's another admission year. You're an applicant of Bowen University, Iwo and you want to know what the school requires for her admission to partake in the Post UTME exercise. 

The post below will give you quick guide for admission processes to the university and link you to full details of the current year admission adverts.

General Admission Requirements
UTME
(a) All applicants are required to sit for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
(b) Applicants are to complete the on-line application form by visiting Bowen University admission portal.
(c) All applicants are required to have credits at SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent) in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English Language and four other subjects as may be specified
by each Faculty.
(d) The five credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings.
(e) For Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS), Nursing Science and Physiotherapy programmes, the five credits (including Mathematics and English) must be obtained at only one sitting.
(f) Candidates awaiting results may apply.
(g) All applicants will be required to go through Bowen University Screening Exercise.
(h) Interested candidates who will apply to JAMB for admission and wish to change their choice to Bowen University are required to:
1. Apply for change of institution through JAMB
2. Complete the Bowen University On-line Application Form
3. Participate in the Bowen screening exercise.



DIRECT ENTRY
All applicants for direct entry must satisfy any of the following:

(a) NCE at credit level, ND and approved equivalents with at least Lower Credit in relevant fields.
(b) At least two Advanced Level passes at acceptable grade level.
(c) The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
(d) In addition to NCE/ND/IJMB, JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or programme, candidates must also satisfy the Ordinary Level requirements.
(e) HND holders may be admitted to 200 Level or 300 Level depending on the regulation guiding admission to each department/programme.

All direct entry candidates are required to apply through JAMB.
