DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Two (2)A level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management.

SSCE (O'LEVEL) RESULT REQUIREMENT
Five (5)SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government or History and three (3) relevant subjects.

JAMB UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION
Economics, Literature in English and Geography/Government/History.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS TO NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL RELATION ADMISSION

DIRECT ENTRY:
OAU requires plus two (2) A Level passes in Government and Economics or History.
WELLSPRING accepts two (2) A Level passes (including NABTEB).
(i) ABU accepts three (3) A level/IJMB passes from the following subjects: Government, History, Sociology, Economics, Geography, Arabic, French.
(ii) AUN:
a. accepts A level passes chosen from Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.
b. does not accept O level credit passes in the following: Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book Keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
c. accepts ICGSE and A level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level programs. May transfer credits relevant to its major at the discretion of the Dean of school.
(iii) BELLS Same as in Accounting.
(iv) ABUAD Same as in Political Science.
(v) GOUU requires two (2) A level passes in Social Science subject from Government or History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management. BSc, BA or HND in Local Government Administration, Public Administration and Political Science.
(vi) SOUTHWESTERN accepts IJMB, NCE, ND, HND or equivalents.
(vii) MCPHERSON accepts JUPEB/IJMB (A level) or its equivalent in related programmes.
(v) ODUDUWA accepts NCE merit in relevant subjects.
(vi) BOWEN requires two (2) A level passes to include Government and any one (1) of Economics, Geography, History and Mathematics.

SSCE RESULTS
OAU requires five (5) O Level credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Government and two (2) other subjects from History/Economics/Geography/Literature in English.
WELLSPRING accepts a pass in Mathematics provided the candidate has a total of five (5) O level credit passes including English language, Government/History, and Economics
UTME:
(i) ABU requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Government, or History and any other two (2) Social Science or Arts Subjects.
(ii) BELLS Same as in Accounting.
(v) COVENANT same as in Marketing.
(vi) GOUU and ABUAD Same as in Political Science.
(vii) SOUTHWESTERN requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Government and Mathematics and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
(viii) BOWEN requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two (2) Social Science subjects from Economics, Civics, Geography and History.

UTME SUBJECTS:
OAU requires Mathematics, Government or Economics and any from History, Geography or Literature in English.
(i) BELLS Same as in Accounting.
(ii) ABU requires Government/History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.
(iii) ABUAD Same as in Sociology.
(iv) SOUTHWESTERN requires Mathematics and any two (2) of the following: Economics, History, Government, Geography, Literature in English and French.
(v) BEYARO requires Government or History plus two (2) other Social Science subjects.
(vi) BOWEN requires Mathematics, Government/History and Economics.
