2023/2024 FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE ABEOKUTA ADMISSION EXERCISE INTO PRE-DEGREE, IJMB, JUPEB AND CAMBRIDGE PROGRAMME

This is to inform the general public, parents, sponsors and prospective candidates that FUNAAB Predegree form (leading to 100 level admission) IJMB form (leading to 200 level admission), JUPEB form (leading to 200 level admission) and Cambridge A'level form (leading to 200 level admission) are all out. All interested should go through all details below for the guide on each programme before applying.

FUNAAB Pre-Degree Programmes Requirements and Eligibility

1. The Pre-degree Programmes of INHURD is a full-time one-year pre-matriculation training, consisting of Science and Management programmes designed to prepare students for various degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. 
2. The programme also prepares students indirectly for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB-UTME) 
3. The requirements for admission into the Pre-degree programmes are credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE), National Examination Council (NECO), Ordinary Level Examination (in not more than two sittings) in Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, or Agricultural Science and Physics (for Science Students) and Economics and any two of Geography, Government, Commerce and Financial Account (for management Science students).

Scoring and Placement into Degree Programmes of FUNAAB

1. Each student is expected to score an aggregate of 50% and above at the end of the session plus a minimum score (as determined by the university) in UTME and post UTME. 
2. All these will be used to calculate a composite score for the student. 
3. A student is expected to have a minimum composite score of 40% before being enlisted for placement into the degree programmes of the University.

FUNAAB Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) 'A' Level Programme Requirements and Eligibility

1. INHURD, Federal University of Agriculture, runs a 10 months Intensive and residential JUPEB 'A' Level programme. 
2. At the end of the programme, successful candidates are guaranteed admission into the 200 Level of all courses offered by FUNAAB or any other Universities within Nigeria.
3. Admission requirements for SCIENCES: 5 O'Level Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics plus Phy., Chem., Biology or Agric.
4. Admission requirements for MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: 5 O' Level Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and three combinable management subjects from Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Government

Subject Combination JUPEB

Depending on their choice of discipline, each student is expected to take 3 basic combinations of any of the following subjects as stated below:

1. Science Subjects: Phy., Chem., Bio., or Phy., Chem., Maths.
2. Management Science Subjects: Econs., Bus Mgt., Accounting
3. Art Subjects: Lit-in-English., History., Econs or Bus Mgt.

To qualify for placement into a degree programme of FUNAAB, a student must register for Direct Entry with JAMB and score a minimum of 7 points (e.g DDD+1=7, BEE+1=7, etc). Students should note that the score requirement to gain entry into the University may vary across courses and Tertiary Institutions.

FUNAAB Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) 'A' Level Programme Requirements and Eligibility

1. The IJMB Programme is a full-time Advanced level programme that runs for 10-11months (April ? February). 
2. It is designed to prepare students for entry into the second year of various degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and other Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
3. The programme is run for two semesters by qualified staff and the students are assessed through internally conducted Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) during the semesters and the main external examination at the end of the second semester by February.
4. Admission requirements for SCIENCES: 5 O'Level Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics plus Phy., Chem., Biology or Agric.
5. Admission requirements for MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: 5 O' Level Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and three combinable management subjects from Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Government

Depending on their choice of discipline, each student is expected to take 3 basic combinations of any of the following subjects and 2 additional compulsory subjects as stated below:

1. Science Course: Phy., Chem., Bio., Maths., Geo.
2. Management Course: Econs., Comm., Fin. Acc., Gov

FUNAAB Cambridge 'A'Level Programme Requirements and Eligibility
